Immediate Response

If there is standing water currently in the basement, stay clear due to electrical hazards. If it is safe to do so, turn off the power to the basement area and shut off the main water valve if the source is a burst pipe.

You will need professional mitigation to extract the water and dry the area to prevent mold before any rebuilding can start.

The Rebuild Phase

Once the water is gone and the space has been adequately dried by mitigation specialists (often requiring them to remove carpeting, padding, and the lower sections of drywall), we handle the restoration:

  • Drywall patching and replacement
  • Baseboard, trim, and door casing replacement
  • Wall and trim painting
  • Flooring installation coordination
  • Cabinet and fixture coordination

Preventing the Next Flood

If the flood was caused by weather or groundwater, rebuilding without addressing drainage guarantees another flood.

We assess the exterior drainage situation—downspout extensions, grading, and potential French drains—to prevent water from resting against the foundation walls.
